Principal's Message

April - Principal's Message

As we turn the calendar to the last month of the school year students and staff have begun to reflect on this past year.  The end of the school year is filled with learning, field trips and special events to celebrate our time together.

For the first time in more than 2 years, Rosenfeld School students participated in a fundraiser, selling Pioneer Meat products.  The PAC organized this fundraiser to help raise money for a picnic shelter that we plan to build this summer.  The picnic shelter will be a space to use for events such as the school picnic and other gatherings, as well as an outdoor classroom space out of the sun and rain.  The fundraiser raised just over $900 towards this project which I think is great for our school of 60 students!  Thank you for your support!

Students and staff participated in the annual Rosenfeld Clean Up today, and students demonstrated team effort as they worked together to collect garbage and recycling from the ditches and boulevards.  Their great attitudes made this an enjoyable cross-grade task and Rosenfeld looks even nicer now because of it!

We are looking forward to some special events in June, such as field trips, our school picnic and swimming at the Altona Pool, and a year-end celebration to wish all the best to our grade 6 students as they head off to Parkside School next year.  Parents are welcome to attend the year-end celebration, which will be held in the school gym at 9 am on June 29th.  More information about these events will be sent out closer to the dates.
